For yet another year, Bounty Rum is set to bring The True Spirit of Carnival to the streets of Notting Hill. Through sponsorship of Carnival floats, in-venue activations across London bars and other UK cities, carnival afterparties and more – Bounty will ensure revellers nationwide experience the beauty and wonder of Saint Lucia. We’re partnering with Saint Lucian owned Xtreme Mas Band and Lagniappe Mas Band, alongside Saint Lucia Tourism Authority to bring Caribbean revelry to the masses.
Taking place on Sunday 24th and Monday 25th August, this year Bounty Rum is spreading the bounty-ful love and sponsoring two carnival floats. The face of Bounty’s carnival campaign for this year is none other than the runner up for Saint Lucia’s Queen of the Bands and cultural ambassador, Natanni St.Omer! Hundreds of revellers will follow the floats adorned with the iconic Bounty yellow, while enjoying unlimited food and Bounty drinks.
To join the celebration, purchase a designed costume from one of Bounty’s two partner Mas Bands. Both Xtreme Mas Band and Lagniappe Mas Band have created high-quality costumes around their respective themes – ‘Pulse’ and ‘Awakening Rebirth’. Bounty is also partnering with Padnas – a fresh fruit cocktail brand with Saint Lucian Heritage. This collaboration will see three new limited-edition cocktails created and served up for revellers to enjoy.
But for those who want a taste of carnival without following a carnival float, there’s plenty of ways to get involved, thanks to Bounty Rum. Venues across London will serve up Bounty Rum cocktails in specially crafted paper cups – 10,000 of which give you a QR code to scan for the chance to Win a Trip to Saint Lucia. Afterparties will take place on Sunday 24th and Monday 25th August at The Beachcomber Tiki Bar and Notting Hill Arts Club. The latter’s line up is looking to be a night to remember, featuring artists like Jamie Rodigan, Sandra Omari, Rebel Clash ft Liam Bailey, and Joe Armon-Jones across the two nights. Bounty will also take over St. Martins Square’s neighbouring bars 33CankStreet, Tonne Bar, and Crafty St Martins, in Leicester. From Glasgow to Norwich, Bounty will activate in other venues to send a ripple of Saint Lucian spirit across other UK cities.
Ashera Goonewardene, Bounty Brand Ambassador commented:
Each year for Notting Hill Carnival, our aim is to go bigger, bolder, and better. Bounty and Saint Lucia are entirely intertwined, and there really is no better place to celebrate that culture than at Carnival.
We also saw how well received Bounty and Carnival celebrations were in other parts of the UK last year – so we’ve really ramped that up with fresh activations in venues and cities across the UK. If you want a taste of the festivities – there’s only one spirit you should be topping up your glass with this August.
Bounty Rum is crafted by St. Lucia Distillers in the lush, green Roseau Valley of Saint Lucia. Celebrated as the spirit of Saint Lucia its vibrant yellow branding can be spotted across the island, often adorning rum shacks where both Saint Lucians and visitors gather to cool off with a classic Bounty and Coke. Loved by rum enthusiasts worldwide for its smooth mouthfeel and crisp finish, the Bounty Rum range is perfect for mixing into lively cocktails or savouring in its iconic serve – over ice with a splash of Coke.
For those wanting to join Bounty in the Notting Hill Carnival Parade, there are a few costume packs still available. Bounty Rum have already taken part in carnivals across Dominica and Saint Lucia, and will soon attend events in Brooklyn.
