Coinciding with the Northern Restaurant & Bar Show, The George and The Bay Horse Tavern unite for a one-night collaboration celebrating drinks, food and pub culture!
On Tuesday 10th March, The George (Fitzrovia, London) and The Bay Horse Tavern (Northern Quarter, Manchester) are delighted to announce they are joining pub forces for an unmissable one-night bar takeover in partnership with Glendalough Distillery, in line with the Northern Restaurant & Bar Show in Manchester.
Taking place from 5pm to 9pm, the takeover will see The George team behind the bar at The Bay Horse Tavern for a one night collaboration that brings together the energy, craftsmanship and hospitality of both pubs.
Glendalough will serve as the official spirit partner for the night, with distribution provided by Mangrove UK. The partnership will be brought to life through a specially curated five-drink Glendalough menu showcasing the best of The George, featuring serves such as a Red Snapper made with Glendalough Wild Botanical Gin, a Sticky Toffee Old Fashioned using Glendalough Pot Still Irish Whiskey, Gibson Martinis served with Monster Munch and Guinness Boilermakers with Glendalough Double Barrel Whiskey.
Also making the journey to Manchester for one night only is The George pub’s iconic Irish Coffee, which has earned a loyal following in recent years for its distinctive take on the classic. Made with Glendalough’s award-winning Double Barrel Whiskey, Origin Coffee, fresh cream and a house-made Guinness reduction, it remains one of the venue’s most celebrated serves.
Adding to the occasion, a live oyster shucker will be on hand throughout the evening, marking the first time oysters have been served at The Bay Horse Tavern, and bringing a taste of The George to Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
