Helen Barugh is the latest senior professional to join the Mangrove team, in the role of Channel Director for Grocery. With 14 years in the wine and drinks industry and eight of those leading and managing grocery accounts, Helen brings a wealth of experience and a successful track record to the Mangrove operation.
As part of Helen’s role, she will lead the Grocery division of the business, working closely with brands to develop their UK footprint via distribution channels and grow brand equity and awareness amongst UK consumers. Helen is also a keen advocate of what it means to be a good supplier, catering for the needs of grocery partners and delivering for them as well as the brands and the ultimate consumer.
Helen’s most recent experience was gained between Amber Beverage UK, Liberty Wines, and Gonzalez Byass UK, where she led on accounts with some of the UK’s largest supermarket chains, including Waitrose, Sainsburys, Ocado, Morrisons, Co-op, and Asda. Within these roles, Helen successfully executed new business activity, launching new products to market and achieving new distribution listings with large grocery partners.
