Renowned London Members’ Club Annabel’s has partnered with Cincoro Tequila, an award-winning portfolio of tequilas founded by NBA legends, for an exclusive, one-off cocktail menu. Celebrating its prestigious Annabel’s for the Amazon campaign, this is a much-coveted fixture in the capital’s social calendar.

This partnership is the latest success in what has been a stellar year for Cincoro Tequila, who partnered with Mangrove Global last year to bring its premium tequilas to the UK market. Across the Atlantic, the brand has sold nearly two million bottles and is now taking a carefully curated, strategic approach to the UK market with strong early results.

In the last year, Mangrove Global has secured listings for Cincoro Tequila in Selfridge’s, Hedonism and coming in November to Harrod’s, as well as specialist retailers like The Whisky Exchange and Master of Malt.

Increasing popularity in its core target markets has also led to several on-trade listings, including:

  • Caprice Restaurants including Bacchanalia, Sexy Fish, and a featured cocktail at Scott’s
  • The Ivy Collection group across all 22 venues in Greater London
  • The Birley Clubs including a specialty Cincoro cocktail served at Annabel’s

Additionally, Cincoro Tequila is sponsoring the upcoming charity event Annabel’s for the Amazon.

The event, now in its sixth year, raises vital funds in collaboration with The Caring Family Foundation that support reforestation and restoration efforts in the Amazon rainforest.

The campaign begins with the unveiling of the iconic façade at Annabel’s to mark World Amazon Day, while inside a bespoke cocktail menu is served up with proceeds going to the Foundation’s work in the Amazon. The cocktail menu for this year has been crafted in collaboration with Cincoro Tequila – featuring vibrant, flavour-packed cocktails like the Pantanal, a bold and complex blend of Cincoro Añejo, banana rum and coffee vermouth with a touch of tonka bean; and the Paloma Pitaia, a refreshing twist on the classic Paloma including Cincoro Blanco, pink pitaya, honeydew melon and basil.

Nick Gillett, Managing Director of Mangrove Global, commented:

The approach we’ve taken in partnership with Cincoro Tequila is evidence of the success that can be had with a deep understanding of your customer, and the right industry relationships. Almost every spirit category is crowded now, it’s not easy to cut through and stand out – but that’s exactly what Cincoro Tequila has achieved with this uniquely curated approach.
As a brand, Cincoro obviously comes with a lot of star-power and entrepreneurial vision behind it, thanks to its five founders. But that’s not the only key to its success. The liquids are exceptional; a perfectly-crafted range that appeals to a seasoned, sophisticated Tequila drinker.

Cincoro Tequila was launched in 2019 by five NBA legends including Jeanie Buss of the Los Angeles Lakers, Wes Edens of the Milwaukee Bucks, Emilia Fazzalari and Wyc Grousbeck of the Boston Celtics and Michael Jordan. In five years, Cincoro has won over 29 awards in accredited spirits competitions.

Quentin Job, Managing Director – International at Cincoro Tequila, said:

Our collaboration with Annabel’s and Mangrove Global marks a pivotal moment for Cincoro Tequila in the UK. To see Cincoro Tequila featured in one of London’s most iconic clubs with cocktails crafted for a cause as meaningful as the Annabel’s for the Amazon campaign, is both a privilege and a reflection of our commitment to greatness. We look forward to continuing to share our liquid and exceptional experiences with discerning audiences across the UK.
