Chairman’s Reserve Spiced Rum has announced the winners of its Naughty & Spiced on-trade competition, celebrating creativity, commitment and standout performance from bars across the UK – with the top venues winning an all-inclusive trip to Saint Lucia, home of Chairman’s Reserve Rum.

Launched to champion the independent on-trade during the festive season, Naughty & Spiced invited bars nationwide to put their own twist on Chairman’s Reserve Spiced through winter serves, cocktails and social storytelling. Running from mid-November through December, the competition generated strong engagement across sales and social channels, with 48 venues taking part from Manchester to London, Edinburgh to Nottingham.

The winners:

Winner for Sales Performance: Tangerine Bar, Manchester

A fresh addition to Manchester’s bar scene, Tangerine delivered exceptional sales performance throughout the campaign, impressing judges with its consistent commitment and confident use of Chairman’s Reserve Spiced across their festive serves.

Winner of Social Media Engagement: 33 Cank Street, Leicester

Taking top honours for creativity and content, 33 Cank Street stood out for its strategic, high-quality social media execution. From atmospheric Christmas-market-inspired visuals to beautifully presented serves, including a Naughty & Spiced luxury hot chocolate with toasted marshmallow meringue.  The team demonstrated how thoughtful storytelling can bring a campaign to life online.

Both winning venues will receive an all-inclusive trip for two to Saint Lucia, including a visit to Saint Lucia Distillers, offering a first-hand experience of where Chairman’s Reserve Rum is made.

Celebrating the wider on-trade – the runners-up

The campaign also recognised a strong group of runners-up, whose engagement, creativity and enthusiasm helped make Naughty & Spiced a success. Special mentions go to:

Each venue brought its own interpretation to the campaign, reinforcing the versatility of Chairman’s Reserve Spiced and the strength of the UK’s independent bar scene.

Ashera Goonewardene, Brand Manager for Chairman’s Reserve at Mangrove Global, said:

Naughty & Spiced was always about rewarding the bars that consistently show up for the brand and have fun doing it. It was also exciting to see how many new venues on the cocktail scene getting involved, bringing fresh energy and ideas to the competition. The level of creativity, effort and engagement we saw across the UK was genuinely impressive. From beautiful winter serves to clever social storytelling, the winning venues and our runners-up really captured the spirit of the campaign.

Nick Gillett, Managing Director at Mangrove Global, added:

Chairman’s Reserve Spiced is a brilliantly versatile rum, and this campaign proved just how well it performs in the hands of great bartenders. Naughty & Spiced was about celebrating those relationships, shining a light on independent venues, and giving something back to the on-trade – with a bit of Saint Lucian sunshine as the ultimate reward.

What’s next?

With Naughty & Spiced wrapped for the season, Mangrove and Chairman’s Reserve will continue to champion the brand’s hero serves into 2026 – including the ever-popular Chairman’s & Ginger, showcasing the rum’s natural spice profile in an accessible, all-year-round format.
