Premium spirits importer and distributer, Mangrove UK, is delighted to welcome James Gibbs to their Sales Team in a newly created role of National Account Manager. James will focus on building the business in Convenience Store Sector, as well as maintaining and developing some key Grocer Accounts alongside Off Trade Sales Director Kavi Soni.

Previously, James worked as an Accounts Manager for Luscombe Drinks and before that he was with the SHS group across several different channels. His wealth of experience within the drinks sector is sure to add value to Mangrove.

Nick Gillett MD of Mangrove said:

“Sales through the convenience channel are predicted to grow by 16.6% in the next five years, given this trend for people to use their local shop more frequently in favour of the larger superstores, we want to ensure the Mangrove brands including Portobello Road Gin and BlackCow Vodka are available to customers as a high quality spirits option. With James’s background in this area we are confident he will grow our presence in this sector.”

James Gibbs said:

“It’s an exciting time to join the business. The Mangrove portfolio is already really varied with lots of great premium brands and there are excellent new products being added all the time, so I’m looking forward to joining the team.”

The role will also include developing strong business relationships with the buying departments and working with the brand manager to implement customer plans in keeping with the ambition for year on year growth. The job will also involve securing new business opportunities for future success.
