Origin

Kokoro was inspired by a visit to our Uncle Nic, who’s lived in Japan for over 50 years. His life’s passion has been transforming neglected ancient woodland back into a haven for endangered indigenous plant species. Walking into the forest with him one day, he introduced us to the incredible flavour of the sansho berry.

Tasting Notes

“Fortuitously pepperasical”, nibbled the words off his tongue. “With a uniquely citrus note”. And it was these insatiable desirability’s that Uncle Nic knew would give his family’s gin – known most fondly as Kokoro.
Blueberry and Lemongrass Liqueur – Blueberries are a relatively new addition to Japan, first cultivated in the 1950s. Nagano Prefecture produces some of the best blueberries, they’re large and sweet.
Yuzu Ginger Liqueur – Yuzu is a Japanese citrus fruit that tastes like a cross between a lime and a grapefruit, deliciously sweet and tart.
Cherry Blossom Liqueur – Sakura in Japanese, Cherry Blossom has a uniquely floral flavour with the softest hint of sweet.
